RUF at ECU

RUF is a Christ-Centered community that serves the tired, the skeptical, and the committed at ECU. It is a group where people can learn, grow, and struggle to know who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.

We are excited to announce that RUF has started at East Carolina University. RUF {Reformed University Fellowship} is a Christian college ministry that was started in the South Eastern United States in the late1970s. The founders dreamed that RUF would be a campus ministry sound in theology and also winsomely welcoming.

We Believe
As a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America {PCA}, RUF holds to the core beliefs of historic christianity which motivate our heart for God and love for the university and its students. Some of these beliefs include the need for new life in Christ, the authority of Scriptures, and the mission of the Church to reach and equip all people with the message of the gospel.

Although we may be familiar with the basic tenets of Christianity, many of us struggle to understand the full meaning of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to experience it in community with others. The purpose of RUF, therefore, is to build a community on the college campus that reaches students of divergent beliefs and doubts with the message of the gospel and equips them to love and serve Jesus and his Church.
